Do you ever wake up from a dream and think that it was actually real? I don't dream often, but when I do, holy cow, it's vivid. A few weeks ago I dreamed that I was pregnant and I could actually feel the baby kicking and doing somersaults inside of me. Needless to say, that dream freaked me out a bit.
This morning I woke up in some alternate universe and thought that I was married to a fighter pilot. When did that happen? I was happy to quickly realize that DH was still my real husband and my nameless, faceless (all I remember is a flight suit), dream state husband was in fact a dream. I can almost always figure out where my dreams came from. They are generally always associated with something I saw or read or a conversation I had the day before. Clown dreams result in seeing clowns the day before (yes, that really happened to me) and so on. This particular dream may have stemmed from living all those years on a military base. Flight suits are a pretty common sight, especially when your neighbor flies an F-15.
My best explanation is that DH is very mildly contemplating becoming a pilot (not a fighter pilot, just the regular kind. Same flight suit, though.) in the Guard. I suppose I let my subconscious imagination run away with me.
